SMILE!!!
« on: 2013 06 11 - 07:28 »
Smile!

The world is like a mirror, frown at it, and it will frown back at you.  Smile and it smiles too.

I once knew a lady that could laugh when the most horrible things would happen to her. If someone was curt to her she would look at them with a big smile.  It was really incredible to watch.  She could change someones attitude toward her with her smile, in an instant.

There is a facelift you can give to yourself, and it is guaranteed to change, your appearance.  It is called a SMILE!

Abraham Lincoln said, Most folks are about as happy as they make their minds up to be.  So cheer up!

John Mason wrote Cheerfulness is contagious, but it seems like some folks have been vaccinated against the infection.  Every man who expects to receive happiness is obligated to give happiness.  You have no right to consume it without producing it.

Every minute your mouth is turned down you lose 60 seconds of happiness.  I believe it is not possible to smile on the outside without feeling great on the inside.  Tom Walsh

It was only a sunny smile,
and little it cost in the giving
but like morning light
it scattered the night
and made the day worth living

Try it!  SMILE!!!

A very nice post. Thank you!  :)

And great quote from Lincoln. There is probably much truth in that.

By the way I saw this video-clip today which is about laughing and related to your post.

Great post and very true.

Laughing is also a great thing to share and is great for the health.

This is a great post! Thanks... I've just had a skype call with my daughter who lives on the other side of the world and we got onto the subject of "awkward moments" , you know the sort of thing, liking tripping up when walking along the street.  Both of us have the ability to laugh at ourselves which, I believe, is one of the greatest gifts I was able to pass on to her.  Being able to laugh is an extension of that smile.

Keep smiling, people, life is only as serious as you choose it to be.   :)

I was a comedian for a number of years and the best medicine is laughing from the deepest part of yourself. It is rare that you can laugh uncontrollably, but it is the most rewarding and cleansing sensation we can ask for. The next time you feel anxious about something, just start laughing for no reason and you'll be instantly reminded of how wonderful life is again.

Great post!

When I go to the supermarket, I often look for the most miserable looking checkout operator I can see and join their queue.

When it is my turn to be served, I give them the biggest, brightest, cheeriest, genuine smile I can and it is such fun to see how it can lift them up, even if only for a few seconds  ;D
