Personal Development/Self Help Book
« on: 2013 03 31 - 14:16 »
Hello to all,

I have just published a book which describes how the person we are is formed by biology, thought processes and environment - and how understanding this can help us to make the changes we need to bring about the things we want in life.  I will be about to chat on the forum - also, if the psychology behind the issues interests you, please feel free to contact me on my personal Facebook (Li Sharratt) or my Facebook author page (Lindsey Sharratt).  Personal development is about exploring what works for you, it's not a one way street, so happy to answer any questions or with help issues you're struggling with :)

All the best on your personal journey

Lindsey

Some good points but do you not think that focus and society play a part?  Life sometimes gets in the way regardless of how hard you try.

I have also just published my first book 'A fabulous Life' which is the same kind of topic. What is the title of your book Lindsey? and where is it published?

Lindsey,
Your book sounds very interesting, what's the title?  I also have a new book on Amazon Kindle "Rewrite Your Me-Movie" about how to begin the process of changing our core beliefs and automatic thoughts that got distorted during childhood.

Hi, Very interesting... if some of us could get together we might be able to write a chapter each  to a book! Any further thoughts?

The chapter each idea is very fascinating to me. Has it ever been done before? I too would love to publish a book but have no idea where/how to start and then there is always the self doubt. Although I know that I have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share as I am sure we all do. I have become a personal development junkie in recent years..... :)

Hi, it's very interesting :)
I'm interested in the personal development and I have recently discovered it.
I think that the most important think is to be aware (conscious of) of what happen around us and inside ourselves.
For example if I don't take on a decision, other people or the same environment will take it in my place.
Another example if I am angry with someone and I don't tell it, then my anger is becoming a illness inside my body.

Writing a Personal Development book is much easier these days if you go down the eBook route.  You don't need to find a publisher and you can get it out there almost instantly.

My recommendation is to start with a Free eBook.  That's what I did.   It's a great way to share your PD ideas, tips and techniques with other people and get some feedback. Over time, you can get a few testimonials which will be invaluable when you start writing ebooks to sell.   Also remember, that it doesn't have to necessarily be an eBook.  It could be an Audio series or a series of emails.   If you really want to get out of your comfort zone, you could even try a Video series!

If anyone would like to read my Free Ten Strategies for Your Success ebook, you can obtain it from my website below.

Happy reading and writing!
