It's a long time ago now but I remeber being inspired by "Dr Zhivago" back in the 60's. Saw it multiple times.

Hi,
  • I found The Secret inspiring and mind opening even though its not really a movie.
  • Mona Lisa Smile (about women in the 1950's getting education so they could have careers like men)
  • The Bucket List (about two men with cancer who write out a bucket list and fulfill those dreams)
  • The Persuit of Happiness - so brilliant, but so sad! (about a man, who became homeless and raised his son by himself - his wife left them - he completed a trading course, was chosen out of the whole class and became one of the most successful traders on wall street)
Thats all I can think of at the moment. But I know there are heaps more.

(My apologies if any of the movie descriptions are inaccurate. Just wrote them from memory)

I have found many films to be inspiriing, some of which are...
The persute of happiness, this was good because I saw that even when it looks like things are going awfully and there is going to be nothing good come out of anything you do, there is always hope! It shows you never to give up on your future, and making it better for yourself and also for your family and the others around you. It is a good film, as well as having an amazing actor (yes I love Will Smith) cast brilliantly and such. :D
Another isLes Mis, sadly I have not seen the theater production off it, but as soon as it came out in the cinema I watched it and have gone back and watched it again, this film for me holds so much, it shows how even when you try and escape from your past there are always going to be people who know about it and will try and bring you back, but it shows the fight for a future, the love a man has for a child that is not his own, it also shows the hurt that is caused when you love someone who does not love you, and how strong love can truely be. And it shows a fight for freedom, a fight for equailty, it has so much more meaning to it then you can imagine. and is by far one of the best films or musicals actually I have seen in a very long time. :D

Not everyone's cup of tea, but the Rocky series of films are very inspiring, each one has a great message.

I have seen most but not all of the films mentioned above and I agree they are all very good. Interesting, though, the gentleman above mentions the "Rocky" franchise and I could not agree more, these films are very inspirational with a lot of very sound morals and ethics mixed in, not to mention the adrenalin they tend to stir.

Hi, I'm a new member of the group, if you accepted me :)
I find the movie "Billy Elliot" very interesting.
Billy Elliot is a child with a dream. He wants to became a dancer, but his father doesn't agree.
The main character have to fight against prejudices.
I think that nowadays there are parents that decide what their children must do.
Sometimes I think that other person could be our inside destruction if we listen their, and the most difficult thing to do is defend ourselves by negative energy, prejudices, and things produced by mind.
I hope to be explain me. I apologies for my bad english.
Bye :)

I would say Forest Gump and Rain man.

It reminds me:

My voice teacher once told me that to be a great singer (classical) you had to be either dumb enough or you had to work your ass off.
Dumb enough to not see the hurdles or (in my ears that sounds like smart enough) or really dedicated doing whatever it takes...

Not a movie, but I got inspired by 14 recordings I found FREE OF CHARGE  some 14 months ago

I cant post the link but search for the main archive site on the internet and then look for:

Your Wish Is Your Command - Kevin Trudeau  CD1 - CD14

(I have absolutely nothing to do with the GIN network, I am not an affiliate, I have no idea about GIN or their products, I am simply not interested in them.)

But the ideas contained in these recordings got me thinking and led to me now living my life by design, rather than by accident.

I have no idea if they could help you but they might be worth at least considering.
